高知大学の山本です。

高知大学海洋コア総合研究センターは、地球掘削科学分野におけるアジア諸国と
の連携を重視しております。

今回は、とくに来夏 7/28-8/1 に札幌にて開催されるAOGS(アジア・オセアニア
地球科学会)の第11回年会に下記内容で提案されているセッションの開催を主体
的に支援させていただく予定ですので、皆様の積極的な投稿・参加をご検討いた
だけますようお願い申し上げます。

Recent advances in paleo-, rock and environmental magnetism

セッション内容
 Rock magnetic methods yield information about magnetic mineralogy and
can provide important insights that enable quantification, detection,
and monitoring of signals from past and present environments. Rock
magnetic data can also provide information about ambient depositional
and diagenetic processes in sediments, paleoclimatic cycles, and
volcanic processes. Paleomagnetic data enable dating of rocks,
assessment of tectonic processes and analysis of the Earth's magnetic
field and deep-Earth processes throughout Earth history. We solicit
studies that make use of paleo-, rock and environmental magnetic data in
relation to geologic and geomagnetic processes. We also welcome
theoretical, experimental, and other contributions that explore the
reliability and application of paleo-, rock and environmental magnetic
methods.
